About this policy
Qadha (“we”, “us”) is a mobile app that helps you follow a structured plan for salah and qadha-related habits. This policy explains what information the app processes and why. It is written to match how the current app works. It is not religious or legal advice; have a lawyer review it if you need a binding policy for your jurisdiction.
By using Qadha, you agree to this notice alongside the app’s terms (if published separately). If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Information we process
Account and profile: If you continue as a guest, we create an account tied to a random device identifier generated on your phone and stored securely on the device. That identifier is also stored on our servers so we can recognise the same guest when you return. If you sign in or link Google, we process your Google account email address and a stable Google user identifier, and we store a display name if you choose one.
Journey and progress: We store data needed to run the app’s journey—such as your selected journey pack, onboarding choices, current day, completion of day plans, prayer/tracker actions you log, and related progress fields—on our backend database so your progress can sync across sessions and devices when you use the same account.
Authentication session: The app keeps a session token in secure storage on your device so you stay signed in until you sign out.
Notifications: If you enable reminders, we store your notification preferences (for example which kinds of nudges you want) on the device and schedule local notifications. On Android, push delivery may use Google’s Firebase Cloud Messaging; we do not use notifications to read the content of your private reflections or du’a text.
Analytics: On production native builds (not in Expo Go), we may send aggregated usage events—such as which screens you open and high-level journey actions—to Google Firebase Analytics. Parameters are limited and sanitized in code; we do not send the full text of your reflections or spiritual notes as analytics data.
Support and donations: If you use in-app purchases or donations, Apple or Google processes payment information according to their rules; we receive purchase status from the store, not your full card number.
Data stored on your device
We use secure storage for your session token and, for guests, a device id. We use device storage for notification preferences, lightweight UI flags (for example whether a reminder was dismissed), and similar settings. Some content may be cached locally so the app feels responsive. Uninstalling the app typically removes local data unless the operating system keeps backups outside our control.
How we use information
We use the information above only to provide and improve Qadha: to show your plan, save progress, authenticate you, send notifications you ask for, understand stability and engagement in aggregate, and process optional purchases.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your spiritual reflections or du’a wording for advertising. Analytics is aimed at product quality and understanding feature usage, not profiling you for unrelated marketing.
Retention
We keep account and journey data while your account is active and as needed to operate the service. If we offer account deletion in the future, we will describe the process in the app or support materials. Technical logs may be retained for a limited period for security and debugging.
Your choices
You can adjust notification behaviour in the app’s notification settings (and in your phone’s system settings). You can sign out from settings, which clears the session token from this device; you may still manage data held on our servers according to support or deletion options we provide.
You can update your display name from your profile when signed in. For privacy-related questions, use the Support entry in Settings (or the path we publish there).
Children
Qadha is not intended for children under the age where parental consent is required for online services in your region without a parent’s involvement. We do not knowingly collect personal information from young children for marketing purposes.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices or the app change. The in-app Privacy screen will show the latest version. If we make material changes, we may also notify you in the app or by email when we have your address (for example from a Google-linked account).
